Thank you everyone for coming out to this years Johnny Rad Fest. It was a great success with Reigning Sound concluding the final night at the Ken Club.
We want to say thanks to Fender, Stance, Monster, Filter, Raen and Lurkville for sponsoring, thanks to Ken Club and Til Two Club for hosting the event, and thanks to all the bands for performing. We can’t wait until next year!
Here are videos and photos from all the nights.
Reigning Sound – “Drowning”
The Half Rats ended night two of Johnny Rad Fest at the Ken Club leaving the crowd sweaty and danced out. Thanks to the bands The Half Rats, Shannon And The Clams, The Kabbs, Los Sweepers, and King Lollipop. Come join us tonight for the final night of Johnny Rad Fest. It’s going to be another epic party with Reigning Sound.
The Half Rats – “Lost In Reality”
Last night was an amazing turnout for the first night of Johnny Rad Fest. Thanks to Til Two Club and thanks to all the bands that played including The Spits, The Lumps, Stalins Of Sound, Embalmers and The Swallows. If you missed out come out tonight to the Ken Club for night two!
Here are a few photos and video from The Spits set.
The Spits – “Let Us Play Your Party”
Continuing our countdown to the event, we are featuring bands that are performing at our Johnny Rad Festival in San Diego, CA July 28th-30th. This week we bring you Joy, who will be opening Saturday night.

We had Christian Ottobre who recently finished recording, producing and pressing Joy’s first 7″ say a few words about the band.
“Joy is a face melting three piece from San Diego, California. All three members grew up playing music together but didn’t fully discover their sound as a band until 2009. Taking cues from heavy blues-based rock bands of the late ’60s and early ’70s, Joy’s music should be placed under the “no bullshit” section of the record store. Check them out at Johnny Rad Fest this weekend with Reigning Sound and a ton of others.”
