Brixton Wednesdays On Wax: Night Beats & Paul Cary

  • Posted on: August 29, 2012

Wednesdays On Wax is back! We welcome it’s return with a couple new records from Seattle’s Night Beats and ex-Horrors frontman Paul Cary.

Night BeatsS/T 2011

The Night Beats are a psych-misc band that formed in Seattle, WA back in 2009. Night Beats aren’t your average pysch band, known for creating some serious crowd movement at their live shows, they have made a name for themselves all over the US and have toured Europe with The Black Angels. We were honored to have them play at Day 2 of our Johnny Rad Fest, and can’t wait to see them again. Here’s a couple of our favorite’s:

“Puppet On A String”

“High Noon Blues”

Paul CaryGhost Of A Man

Paul Cary recorded his solo album Ghost Of A Man in 2009 after the hiatus/disbanding of his first rock group The (Original) Horrors. This album is a dark, lo-fi memoir that demands your attention as soon as the first bass notes are hit on “The Curse Of China Bull”, definitely not your average “garage rock” album so many attempt to create these days. We also used the title track for the soundtrack to out Fall 2012 video, CLICK HERE to watch.
