Flamin’ Groovies - Slow Death
Flamin’ Groovies were a forerunner in the punk/garage/power-pop scene throughout the 70s. They are originally from San Fransisco and were founded by Ron Greco, Cyril Jordan and Roy Loney in 1965. This record is right up our alley and can lighten your mood while sitting at a desk or out on the dance floor. Here’s their popular “Shake Some Action” and also “Tallahassee Lassie”.

We picked up this album accidentally (it was mistaken for The Searchers) but it turned out to be a pretty cool find, minus the “Kumbaya” cover… The Seekers are an Australian folk-influenced pop music group originally formed in 1962. They were the first Australian popular music group to achieve major chart and sales success in the United Kingdom and the United States and had 10 hits throughout the 60s. Here’s our favorite tracks:
